The reason I care so much about getting Mums in the frame.

You weren't meant to spend your life behind the camera.

You've got hundreds of photos of your children.

Thousands, probably.

Tiny fingers. First steps. Birthday cakes. Silly faces.

But when you scroll back through them, you're often missing.

Because you're the one taking the photos, organising the memories and making sure everyone else is included.

And somewhere along the way, you forgot that you deserve to be in them too.

Hi, I'm Ciara.

Mumma to three little humans, professional chaos-wrangler and the heart behind The Photo Mumma.

I know how overwhelming family life can feel because I'm living it too. The snacks, the tantrums, the endless washing, the feeling that the days are long but the years are somehow flying by.

That's exactly why I do what I do.

My sessions aren't about perfect smiles, matching outfits or children sitting still.

They're about capturing the real stuff.

The way your toddler reaches for your hand.

The newborn cuddles you'll miss sooner than you think.

The laughs that happen in between the posed photos.

The moments that feel ordinary now but will mean everything later.

So if you've been putting photos off because your partner isn't keen, your kids are wild, or life just feels too busy right now...

You're exactly the kind of family I love photographing.

I'll take care of the photos.

You just show up and love on your people.

You're not looking for a perfect family photographer.

You're looking for someone who:

✓ Understands toddlers

✓ Won't panic when your child melts down

✓ Makes your partner feel comfortable

✓ Helps with what to wear

✓ Captures genuine connection

✓ Feels more like a friend than a stranger

What it's actually like to work with me

Let's get one thing out of the way...

Your children do not need to sit still.

In fact, some of my favourite images happen when they're running, exploring, cuddling up to you or doing exactly what kids do best—being themselves.

My sessions are relaxed, playful and completely child-led. There's no pressure to perform, no awkward posing and no expectations for perfect behaviour.

We'll walk, play games, have cuddles, share a few laughs and follow your family's natural rhythm. If your toddler needs a snack break, we take a snack break. If your newborn needs feeding or settling, we pause. There's no rush.

And if your partner isn't exactly counting down the days until family photos? Don't worry, I've met plenty of those too. By the end of the session, they're usually the ones saying, "That wasn't nearly as painful as I expected."

My goal isn't to create perfectly posed photos.

It's to create an experience where you can relax, be present with your family and trust that I'll capture the magic unfolding in front of me.

The best photos happen when you're simply loving on your people—and that's exactly what I'll encourage you to do.

The photos become more valuable every year.

The families I photograph often come back every 6-12 months. Not because they need more photos, but because they realise how quickly things change.

One day you're booking newborn photos.

Then first birthdays.

Then family sessions.

Then school photos.

And suddenly you're looking back at years of memories you would have otherwise forgotten.

Ready to stop waiting for the perfect time?

Your kids don't need to be perfectly behaved.

Your partner doesn't need to love photos.

And you definitely don't need a Pinterest-perfect life.

You just need to be there.

Let's create something your family will treasure for years to come.
